Excerpts from a VST image of the Lagoon Nebula
These excerpts are small sections from a new VLT Survey Telescope (VST) image of the Lagoon Nebula. This giant cloud of gas and dust is creating intensely bright young stars, and is home to young stellar clusters. These data form part of a huge treasure trove of publicly available images from the ESO survey telescopes.
