MPG/ESO 2.2-metre telescope - daytime view
The MPG/ESO 2.2-metre telescope at La Silla has been in operation since early 1984. Operation and maintenance of the telescope was the responsibility of ESO until September 2013. The telescope (which is a fork mounted Ritchey-Chretien) was built by Zeiss and has been in use at La Silla since 1984. It is equipped with WFI, FEROS and GROND.
