Site characterisation instrumentation
The Cherenkov Telescope Array will have its southern hemisphere site at ESO's Paranal Observatory in the Atamaca Desert. The site already houses the ASC Complex: an all-sky camera (ASC), a seismometer and a Sun and Moon photometer.
