ALMA close-up
The ALMA antennas observe millimetre and submillimetre wavelengths, and the whole array forms the most powerful telescope for observing the cool Universe. Researchers make observations of the distant universe with ALMA, which allows them to study the building blocks of stars, planetary systems and galaxies.
