ESO engineers inspect an M1 segment
The mirror segments of ESO’s Extremely Large Telescope (ELT) require incredible precision to peer deep into the cosmos. Thus, after a long journey from the production facilities in Europe to their new home at Paranal in Chile, each segment requires intense inspection from ESO engineers to ensure they were delivered safely.
